A leading telecoms company is looking to hire a Group Wi-Fi Product Manager responsible for Wi-Fi product management, strategy, execution and P&L.
This is a senior executive position is responsible for the strategy, execution and profitability of the company’s multi-country Wi-Fi deployment,with ultimate responsibility for the P&L of Wi-Fi across all operating companies.
This includes taking the lead, in collaboration with local teams, of market and competitive analysis, creation of marketing requirements, business case analysis, price modelling, as well as sales
team training, coordination and deployment of the Wi-Fi product.
Qualifications
Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Telecom or equivalent
• Master’s degree and/or MBA added advantage
• African multi-country experience required, multi-continent added advantage.
• Extensive understanding of telecoms industry, especially in Wi-Fi/ wireless industry and emerging trends
Skills/ Experience
10-15 years in telecoms industry, with at least 3-5 years in both direct sales and business development,
preferably in wireless/Wi-Fi.
• Direct experience developing and bringing Wi-Fi or wireless services to market added advantage.
• Demonstrable experience with business development and product management in telecom industry.
• Unique combination of technical and business skills including leadership, analytical, problem-solving and planning with a team-oriented approach.
• Good written and verbal communication ability with excellent analytical, financial and forecasting skills.
• Demonstrable expertise in generating technically oriented marketing collateral including proposals, white papers, product positioning media release and related documentation.
