1. Post: Executive Dean
Faculty of Medicine

Duties & Responsibilities
The Dean shall be responsible to the Vice-Chancellor for:
  • Providing academic and administrative leadership to the Faculty, including all Faculty planning and control in the specific areas of personnel, budgeting, academic programmes, departmental equipment and other matters.
  • Developing and implementing an academic and administrative support infrastructure capable of delivering medical programmes that fully meet current and future requirements, and which deliver an excellent student experience.
  • Ensuring medical programmes offered exemplify best practice.
  • Leading Faculty in achieving its objectives through the development and delivery of sound and innovative programmes.
  • Undertaking fund raising to support teaching and research in the Faculty.
  • Establishing international linkages and partnerships.
  • Contributing to the evolution and maintenance of a comprehensive-and conducive learning environment at the University.
