Position Summary: We seek an outstanding candidate for a Knowledge Management (KM)/Data Demand and Information Use (DDIU) Advisor for a potential programme on SRH and HIV in Zimbabwe. The KM/ DDIU Advisor will be responsible for providing programmatic guidance and technical assistance to strengthen operations research/evaluation strategies and use of information by specific stakeholders. This is a full-time position to be based in Harare, Zimbabwe.

Key Responsibilities: • Provide technical support to promote data collection, availability, usage and ownership in a manner that enhances the programme and promotes sustainability, through use of routine monitoring and evaluation (M&E), operations research, and national study results. • Design, develop, and adapt data collection and data use methods and instruments to support the project in alignment with national indicators and priorities, with specific emphasis on developing core data reporting and information sharing with the private/NGO sector. • Work with international, project, and in-country partners to institutionalise DDIU tools, training curricula, and approaches. Work across result areas to incorporate data use activities at policy/management, facility/services, and community/advocacy levels. • Coordinate the design and roll out of project monitoring activities, in alignment with result areas as well as national priorities and external evaluation activities. • Synthesise reports of progress against the project indicators and targets. • Contribute to operations research on the effectiveness and/or cost-effectiveness of programmes. • Coordinate effectively with external programme evaluators.

Qualifications: • Advanced degree in related field. • At least 7 years’ experience implementing public health, monitoring and data use, or specifically SRH and HIV programmes in Zimbabwe.
• Knowledge of M&E methodology including frameworks, data collection, analysis, dissemination, and data use. • Familiarity with costing and cost modelling strategies and applications. • Experience managing data, information, and evaluations on large-scale SRH and HIV activities. • Experience capacitating partners and staff to identify information needs and apply evidence to transform programme management and policy decisions. • Demonstrated ability to collaborate and develop positive working relationships with donors, private sector/NGO partners, and government officials. • Strong interpersonal skills and proven ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships across teams and organisations. • Strong managerial skills with the ability to plan, organise, coordinate, and implement work inputs from several sources and partners, and manage the simultaneous delivery of multiple outputs. • Strong computer and writing skills with proven ability to write reports for various audiences as well as ability to use Microsoft Word, Excel, SPSS, EPIinfo, STATA, EPIDATA, and PowerPoint. • Experience working with DFID, USAID, or other donor-funded programmes. • Excellent written and spoken English is a must. • Zimbabwean nationals are strongly encouraged to apply.
