Lab Manager

Duties
Maintain, develop and expand current operations
Generate additional profit
Maintaining and improving the high technical standards at the lab
Enhancing the business and commercial standards and outputs including operational efficiency and profitability
General management of the lab, finance and administration, marketing, sales and customer relations, product and business development, HR with a focus on sound labour relations and staff development, CSR, with a focus on a sound community relationship and SHE.

Requirements
Extensive laboratory experience.
Experience running a small business/department with up to 50 employees.
Marketing and sales experience would be a real advantage, especially when dealing with technical people e.g. geologists and engineers.
A BSc. graduate, preferably with a post graduate technical qualification.
Mining and exploration knowledge and experience degree
Basic accounting and finance knowledge and skills
A good command of English both spoken and written
handle a wide spectrum of work ranging from transactional (office routines) to fairly sophisticated business, people management and CSR work, work in cross-cultural environments
Able to work with and relate/understand the needs of exploration geologists, mining companies and senior managers
