Credit Controller , Harare

Job Summary
Applications are invited from suitably qualified, experienced and mature individuals to fill the vacancy of Credit Controller which has arisen in our Distribution Company.

Job Purpose
To develop, implement and maintain an effective and professional credit control system for the company.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Review the company credit control procedure and develop and implement enhancements where required.
To manage the outstanding sales balances falling due and contact customers before the balances become overdue to confirm payments.
Set and monitor credit limits.
Assist in developing and implementing a Direct Debit payment system.
Where required initiate proceedings to ensure outstanding debts are bought to a satisfactory conclusion.
To keep the company up to date with new credit management procedures and techniques.
Ensure proof of delivery is availed for each invoice to guarantee collection.
Perform debtor‘s reconciliations on a monthly basis.
Manage the credit control staff effectively.

Requirements:
Skills / Attributes/ Qualifications Required
Must possess an accounting degree from a recognised university,
Must be studying towards a relevant professional qualification e.g. ClMA, ACCA
Able to demonstrate experience within Credit Control.
Experience of providing Credit Control to organisations with a turnover in excess of US$1million per month.
Computer literate with knowledge of Pastel/or similar).
Excellent communication skills are essential.
A clean class four driver's licence
