Job Summary
Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced persons to fill the above mentioned position based at our Harare Plant.
Description
ACCOUNTABILITIES
Sampling and testing of water, simple syrup and final syrup
Sampling and testing of final products
Verification of lab equipment before use
Recording of all test results
Supervise cleaning and sanitation programme
Collect and monitor retention samples
Monitor Critical Control Points in the plant
Supervise the segregation and sorting of non conforming products in the plant
Prepare and standardise lab reagents
Monitor housekeeping and hygiene in the plant
Implement and maintain relevant SHEQ management Systems
Report non conforming ingredients, products and processes timeously
Internal communication with operations team including shift supervisors to ensure product conforms to specification
Assess customer complaints
Maintain Good Laboratory Practice
Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS & ATTRIBUTES
National Diploma in Applied Chemistry or Food Science
'A' Level an added advantage
At least one year working experience in FMCG
Achievement orientation
Teamwork and co-operation
Communication and influence
