An employment opportunity has arisen at World Vision International (Zimbabwe), a child-focused international humanitarian organization, based in Zimbabwe. The position reports to the National Director.
Major Responsibilities
Lead the overall Consortium Secretariat and manage Girl Child Project.
Develop project working plans and implementation strategies in cooperation with technical specialists.
Facilitate an effective coordination and collaboration among the Consortium Member.
Develop the strategic direction and policy with the Consortium Steering Committee (CSC) led by the World Vision National Director
Coordinate project and activities with national authorities, United Nations agencies and other international and local organisations through existing cluster coordination mechanisms e.g. WASH/Education Clusters
Act as an interface between three Consortium Organizations and the our donors
Working in close cooperation with the M&E Unit, assess progress towards intended outputs/ outcomes, identify and address potential risks and delays.
Ensure that the Consortium Members are familiar with donor policies, procedures, guidelines, and reporting formats.
Prepare annual programme budgets and quarterly financial forecasts, and monitor expenditures
Lead engagement with the donor and Support Office
Qualifications and Experience:
A Master degree in Education, Developmental Studies or any related Social Science
A Minimum of five years of experience in Education Related Developmental work, three of which must be in Senior Management.
Previous experience in managing large international development projects, preferably on Education plus good documentation skills.
Demonstrated good leadership and communication skills
A Clean Class 4 Driver’s
