National Gender Coordinator

Plan Zimbabwe is recruiting suitably qualified candidates to fill the National Gender Coordinator for the 18+ (Ending Child Marriages) Grant position. The position will be on a fixed term contract basis.

Job summary
Reporting to the Program Support Manager or Host Program Area Manager, the National Gender Coordinator will provide specialist guidance and support on child marriage programming in line with the Project demands and our Country Strategic Plan. The post holder will have overall coordination of the planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of the 18+ (Ending Child Marriages) Grant. S/he will be responsible for accurate budget control and overall responsibility for financial management. >Entry qualifications and experience

A degree in Law or Gender Studies and/or Social Studies or an equivalent qualification; At least 5 years’ experience in community development with a reputable NGO; Ability to work with teams, communicate and coordinate with government departments and other agencies; Knowledge of strategic planning processes and theories of gender programming; Excellent networking and partnership building skills; Good communication, negotiation, leadership and facilitation skills; Strong team-building, motivational, strategic thinking skills
