Job Summary
Sable Chemical Industries Limited, the only manufacturer of Ammonium Nitrate fertilizers in the country, is located in Kwekwe, central Zimbabwe. It employs about 500 people and has a rated capacity to produce more than 240 000 tonnes of Ammonium Nitrate per annum. Sable's Ammonium Nitrate fertilizer which is for agricultural purposes only, is supplied largely to the domestic markets. To produce the hydrogen required for the manufacture of the Ammonium Nitrate fertilizers, the company runs the largest Electrolysis Plant in the world, which splits water into hydrogen and oxygen.
Sable is seeking to fill the above position with a suitable incumbent who meets the following criteria:

The position requires a person with the following attributes:
Results-oriented, self-directed and mature person with the ability to start a Department from scratch
Demonstrated marketing and sales experience in a large manufacturing environment
Demonstrated ability to develop and nurture relationships with customers
Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the position entails the incumbent to do the following:
Develop and implement the marketing and sales strategic plan for the company
Develop and lead a marketing and sales team that will execute new concepts, business models, channels and relationships to position the business as an innovator and leader
Provide management information by collecting, analysing and summarising data and trends
Analyse market trends and develops marketing, sales and business development strategies based on analysis and feedback
Formulate all marketing and sales policies, practices and procedures
Develop specific plans to ensure revenue growth in all company products and expand product solutions and offerings
Accurately forecast annual quarterly and monthly revenue streams in consultation with the Chief Finance Officer
Perform sales activities on major accounts and negotiates sales prices and discounts in consultation with the Chief Finance Officer
Improve product marketability and profitability by researching, identifying and capitalising on market opportunities
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications and Experience.
Degree in Marketing or an equivalent qualification in a relevant discipline
Relevant Diploma in Marketing e.g. IMM
Relevant Diploma in Agriculture will be an ceded advantage.
Corporate Membership of a professional Institution such as IMM or ZIM
At least 6 years relevant experience preferably in an agro-based manufacturing industry, 5 years of which should be at management level
