Investment Analyst ($3500 US p/m. )

Our Client, a Private Equity Fund Manager based in Zimbabwe, is looking for a suitably qualified and experienced person to join their investment team as an Analyst. Applicants must have Zimbabwean citizenship or residence, and be open to relocating to Zimbabwe if not currently residing there.
The successful Analyst will work closely with our Client's senior investment professionals and provide support in investment analysis, research, investment process management,
transaction structuring, deal execution and portfolio management.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
Supporting investment sourcing, evaluation and portfolio monitoring by reviewing inbound investment materials and assessing performance of specific companies
Creating and executing financial analysis in support of the investment process by developing flexible financial models, financial forecasting, analyses and multiple valuation methods
Develop, conduct and coordinate financial analyses, reports and presentations to facilitate making important business decisions
Provide financial and business due diligence support
Structuring and conducting research on a wide range of geographies, industries, companies, and macroeconomic trends
Maintain certain performance tracking metrics
Actively participate in Portfolio Company monitoring and reporting, including assisting management in developing annual budgets, tracking monthly performance to plan and preparing monthly transaction reviews.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Candidates must have completed an undergraduate degree (e.g. economics, business or financial) and have at least 3 years of full-time experience in a finance, investment, research or strategy consulting-oriented role. Candidates with the following characteristics are highly preferred: An undergraduate degree (2.1 class or higher) from a leading university with a strong academic record
Strong Financial Accounting experience, including a professional qualification
Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skills
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Quantitative modelling experience
An understanding of and ability to apply complex financial concepts, valuations and accounting
A high level of attention-to-detail
An ability to meet challenging deadlines while maintaining quality and accuracy
Excellent Microsoft Office skills, including advanced excel programming
Prior professional experience in quantitative analysis, including investment banking, equity research, wealth management, or strategic consulting
Zimbabwe Residency or Citizenship
Candidates with international working experience are encouraged to apply
