Job Summary
RioZim Limited is a company which is incorporated in Zimbabwe and listed on the Zimbabwe Stock ' Exchange. The Company operates Empress Nickel Refinery (ENR), Renco Mine and Sengwa Colliery. RioZim also has an interest in Murowa Diamonds (Private) Limited and is pursuing several growth prospects in the country.

Description
The Company seeks to recruit a Refinery Superintendent to be based at Empress Nickel Refinery in Kadoma.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the operation of the Refinery and report to the Manager, ENR.

The key deliverables for the position will include the following:
  • To ensure that the Refinery achieves planned production at budgeted costs .
  • To ensure that the Refinery production meets quality specifications
  • To ensure that the Refinery achieves names late equipment optimization on and targeted manpower utilisation
  • To continuously review, recommend and implement improvements to plant methods and processes
  • To ensure the effectiveness and development of the skills base through mentoring process, supervision, training g and development of subordinates I
  • To ensure effective engagement between management and employees as part of the management team
  • To uphold and promote the Principle of of zero harm through monitoring of safety, health and environment /systems in the Refinery
Requirements
The requirements for the position are:
  1. A Degree in Metallurgy or Chemical Engineering
  2. Experience in relevant quality standards and Business Management Systems (for example ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001 and ISO 9001)
  3. At least a minimum of six years experience at senior management level
  4. Strong business acumen
  5. Experience in a mining or mineral processing environment is a prerequisite.
