Position Summary: We seek an exceptional candidate for a Programme Communication Officer position for a potential programme on SRH and HIV in Zimbabwe. This is a full time position to be based in Harare, Zimbabwe.

Key Responsibilities: • Facilitate dissemination of key lessons learned—programme and research results—among key stakeholders and decision-makers • Facilitate harmonisation with related in-country communication initiatives and incorporation of national research results and lessons learned into programme • Oversee development of written, contract-related documents and deliverables, and other information requests from donor, government, and other stakeholders as it relates to the communications strategy. • Coordinate and contribute to the process of writing, editing, and production of project deliverables, portfolio reviews, and technical reports, including facilitation of the technical review process and monitoring its documentation. • Work closely with project staff and technical writers to develop, review, edit, and revise appropriate materials and tools, including manuals, occasional papers, policy briefs, working papers, country reports, and any other technical documents. • Oversee development and production of project-related communication materials (brochures, report covers, order forms, flyers, and other collateral materials).

Qualifications: • Advanced degree: MA preferred. • At least 5 years’ experience in: field of health knowledge management. • Demonstrated knowledge of stakeholder involvement across sectors. • Knowledge of USAID, DFID and other donor-funded project implementation. • Ability to work independently and with a wide range of partners. • Excellent written and spoken English is a must. • Zimbabwean nationals are strongly encouraged to apply.
