Duties to include:
Process improvements - Smelters, Trouble shooting and gap closing
Mentoring and coaching
Budgeting and cost control
Controlling the shaping of metals
Joining of metals through welding and soldering techniques
Designing metal components and prototypes
Interpreting and understanding design drawings and making recommendations
Monitoring quality standards in manufacturing and finishing
Interpreting customers manufacturing design requirements and product application
Installing and commissioning processing equipment
Researching and developing test or repair technology and new products
Key Skills:
Knowledge of element control and composition, metal hardness, heat treatment and particularly the area of chrome balls
Key Qualifications:
Degree with a Major in Metallurgical Engineering
