Factory Manager

Our client is a manufacturer of office furniture and is seeking a factory manager to oversee operations. The ideal candidate should have knowledge of furniture, joinery, aliminum & glass partitioning, drywall, suspended Ceilings and bulkheads.

The applicant should be able Manage:
The company vehicles.
Be able to control the use of expensive materials, fixtures and consumables in stores, on the factory floor and at various off premise sites.
Be able to read technical drawings.
Understand how to initiate works having understood the relevant drawings.
Order the correct qty's of materials for the project at hand.
Compile cut lists for machine operators to use when sizing materials (expensive).
Issue step by step instruction to different groups within the organisation.
Manage projects to deadlines.
Estimate factory times and costs.
Report to and work with managers, designers, architects and accountants.
