Job Summary
An exciting opportunity for an experienced Banker to fill the position of Director - Banking has arisen within a fast growing and secure Financial Institution. This is a new position reporting to Managing Director.

Description:
The successful Incumbent will be responsible for:
Overseeing the strategy formulation and implementation of all the front office revenue generating departments, that is Treasury Front Office, Advisory Services, Corporate Banking, Trade Finance and the Bulawayo region.
Enabling the Bank to achieve its targets by spearheading the design and implementation of its revenue, customer, internal business processes, and general growth strategies ln compliance with the Bank’s approved policies and procedures as well as regulatory requirements.
Ability to monitor both macro and micro environmental market forces and guide any strategic policy ;shift in liaison with the relevant Executive committees from time to time.
Implement any developmental projects as may be assigned by the Managing Director or the Executive Committee.
Ability to set, monitor and evaluate realistic departmental performance management targets and institute remedial action.
Ability to identify, mentor and develop human capital talent
Ensures compliance with Central Bank’s rules and regulations.
Reviewing and recommending amendments to the MD on policies from time to time.

Requirements:
The Incumbent should possess the following qualifications and experience:
1st degree in Banking & Finance or any related commercial field.
Masters in Business Administration, MSc. Finance & investment or Masters in Business Leadership
10 years banking experience with at least 2 years at executive level
Strong experience in business development and treasury management.
Formal credit or treasury dealing training
Knowledge of Zimbabwean economy in general and key value drivers in the financial services industry.
An understanding of Global trends and how they impact on our business ·
A thorough understanding of ALCO strategic issues and how they impact on positioning of the Bank.
