Project/Proposal Summary:
The overall objective of the Civil Society Strengthening Program in Zimbabwe is to assist USAID/Zimbabwe and its local implementing partners in achieving the Transition to a more accountable & democratic system of governance.

Position Summary: The Finance Manager will be responsible for ensuring that the project and grant finances comply with all USAID’s financial requirements, regulations, and processes.

This is a local position. Only Zimbabwean citizens are eligible to apply Women, people with disabilities and minorities are encouraged to apply.Responsibilities: • Establish and manage a financial system and a set of protocols that enable transparency, accountability and accuracy; • Support the COP and DCOP in meeting USAID administrative requirements (budget preparation and tracking, financial management, agreement management); • Draft monthly and quarterly financial reports which discloses burn-rate to the COR; • Present financial progress reports at quarterly meetings; • Train, as necessary, staff and partners in aspects related to financial systems, protocols, or policies; • Work closely with Contractor’s home office finance staff; and • Supervise local finance staff.

Qualifications: • An undergraduate degree in finance or a related field or a professional qualification in accountancy; • A minimum of three years’ experience in the management of programs funded by the U.S. government, including experience managing finance for USAID-funded projects, or by other donors; • Demonstrated leadership skills; and • In-depth knowledge of USAID financial management rules and regulations.
